What is the difference between the Torah and the Pentateuch?

The Torah and the Pentateuch are the Hebrew and Greek names for the first five books of the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. The word Torah in Hebrew can be translated to a number of things, namely, instruction, teaching, or even “hitting the mark”. The word Pentateuch in Greek means “five books”.
